FAQ's

Solar Power or Energy is the energy remitted by the sun in the form of heat and light, used to produce electricity.  Solar technologies capture those radiation and convert it into useful and staple energies. Some of these solar technologies are photovoltaic panels and concentrating solar-thermal power.  The photovoltaic panels are also known as Solar Panels.

Solar Panels are composed of the photovoltaic cells that when hit by light, its electrons separate from atoms causing the energy to flow through the cells and generate electricity. In other words, solar panels automatically convert light to energy to produce electricity.

Solar panels are durable enough to last for 20-25 years.  They are built of high grade materials that can withstand different weather conditions and harsh environment.

The first thing you should consider is your purpose in installing and switching to the use of solar power for electricity.  There are many advantages and benefits into switching to solar power, some are:

  1. Save on electricity spending.
  2. Increases monetary value to your establishment
  3. The return of investment is promised
  4. You can sell the excess electricity stored
  5. Enjoy renewable and limitless source of electricity, and
  6. Benefit from the cheapest and cost-effective environmentally-friendly alternative.

Second, your roof structure and suitability for panel installations.  Usually, this could be assessed by technical teams installing solar panels.

Lastly, an optimistic mindset in making this worthwhile investment in an eco-friendly way.

There are three main types of solar panel systems:

  1. Grid-tied solar panel systems: These systems are connected to the utility grid and generate electricity that is fed back into the grid. They do not require batteries for energy storage, and any excess electricity generated by the solar panels can be sold back to the utility company.

  2. Off-grid solar panel systems: These systems are not connected to the utility grid and typically require batteries to store excess energy. They are often used in remote locations where it is difficult or expensive to connect to the grid.

  3. Hybrid solar panel systems: These systems combine the features of both grid-tied and off-grid systems. They are connected to the utility grid, but also have batteries for energy storage. This allows the system to provide power during power outages or when the utility grid is down.
